Trees are a big part of why people build out here, and most of them should stay. But some are in the wrong place: right where a new slab, driveway or shop has to go, or close enough to a house or existing concrete to cause damage.
A tree too close to concrete causes problems in two ways. Its roots push up under the slab, and in clay soil it draws enough water out of the ground to make it shrink and settle unevenly. Either one ends in cracks.
When a tree comes out, the stump comes out with it, and the wood, branches and debris are hauled off — the ground is left ready for whatever goes there next.

Do you remove the stump too?
Yes. The stump comes out as part of the job. A stump left in the ground is in the way of anything you want to build or pour there, and it keeps sending up shoots.
What happens to the wood and branches?
We haul all of it off. You are not left with a pile of logs and brush to deal with after the tree comes down.
Why remove a tree that is close to a slab or driveway?
Roots growing under concrete lift it and crack it. And a large tree pulls a lot of water out of clay soil, which makes the ground shrink unevenly under a slab or foundation. Both show up as cracks that keep getting worse.
Can you remove the trees and then pour the concrete?
Yes. Tree work and concrete are both work we do, so the job can be looked at and quoted as one instead of lining up two contractors.
